Forge Fitness & Nutrition started from humble beginnings — literally in the old forge that belonged to Dan’s dad. It’s a place with character, built on hard work and tradition, much like the approach we take to fitness today.
Dan’s journey began in the pool as a GB water polo player, where he learned the power of discipline, teamwork, and mental toughness. But after stepping away from competitive sport, he saw something all too common: people struggling to get results, feeling lost in the gym, confused by conflicting advice, and often overwhelmed by fad diets and quick fixes.
Instead of accepting that as the norm, Dan decided to create something better, a space where fitness is about more than just sweat and reps. It’s about building real habits, changing mindsets, and creating a community where everyone feels welcome and supported.
What started as informal sessions with friends on a field quickly grew into something bigger. As more people showed up, drawn by the authentic coaching and inclusive vibe, the idea of Forge Fitness & Nutrition took shape. In June 2023, Forge expanded into a full gym. But the heart of it stayed the same: hard work, honesty, and a no-nonsense approach to fitness.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all or quick fixes. We believe in coaching that meets you where you are, helps you build sustainable habits, and pushes you to be your best self. Whether that’s smashing a new personal best, managing a health condition, or simply feeling more confident in your own skin.
